Every now and again, people come into your life who will support you, pick you up when needed, and give you the tools to keep going. Roland and Aileen Chatterton are such people. Without the Chatterton’s backing and support, Powell & Son would not have become the winery it is today. Their support and encouragement have been endless. We had access to some amazing old vines in both the Barossa and Eden Valleys and decided to make an ongoing tribute to the people who helped get us off the ground.

Inky purple crimson in colour, the Chatterton’s Shiraz is savoury and spicy. The palate is full bodied with plums, mulberries and touches of dark cherries.

Fermented in open-top concrete vats. Pumped over twice daily. Basket pressed, wild malolactic fermentation in barrel and matured in new French oak barriques for 24 months prior to bottling without fining or filtration.
